While we have had a great summer in western Washington with plenty of sunny weather to ride, I can really sense the change in seasons here. Fall has come pretty decisively to North Bend, bringing leaves, cooler and wetter weather. It looks like I won't be able to assume that I can ride on any given day, like I could for much of the summer. I guess that means I will just need to grab those opportunities when they come, which will make me all the more thankful for the times I can ride.

...makes me happy to be in Southern California. There might be a few days this winter when it rains harder than my skill level, but other than that I should be able to ride nearly every day of the year.

same here in Vancouver, BC. right now we are bracing for a big rain storm. there's going to be a lot of rain over the next few days. It's getting darker in the mornings, definitely can feel winter in the air. nearly time to put my shorts away and put on the longjohns.
I can't wait to go ride defiantly in some storms! The good thing about having to wait for scooter-suitable days is that they will become gems among the dreary days!
Same down here in Oregon. Late August fooled me into thinking fall had arrived early but Sept. was gorgeous. Now that it's Oct. it really is fall! But in-between fall rain storms, those are my favorite riding days of the year.
The best scooter riding weather is just arriving! Months of nice sunny cool days arriving, instead of hot, steamy and muggy ones. We look forward to not sweating under our helmets for a change.
